How we help local communities

Just Ears (formally Clean Ear Clinic) was set up in 2011 with the aim of making ear wax removal with microsuction more accessible to the general public . As well as growing the clinics, it is also very important to us that we give back to our local community and support where we can. This includes sponsorship, charity, volunteer work and education. To find out more about our projects or to get involved, please contact us here.

Winchester 10k Directors Run!

3 of our Directors were due to run the Guildford 10k last month when it was unfortunately cancelled. So…… they quickly signed up for the Winchester 10k instead so they could keep raising money for one of our team members who has sadly been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin Lymphoma. If anyone would like to donate please use this link to a page her sister has set up.  Well done to Costa, Mike and Aigbs!

Rodaway Rovers - The End Of A Season

Just Ears Clinic would like to send a huge congratulations to the team we sponsor, Rodaway Rovers, who despite the on and off nature of last season finished on a high.  They remained focused and strong throughout the season.

They finished on with a great unbeaten run of 7 games towards the end of the season, winning 5 games and drawing 2. They celebrated the end of the season with a BBQ and presentation ceremony in the summer.

As they start this new season we wish them all the best, they have already got off to a great start and have continued their unbeaten run with a dramatic draw on their first game of the season.

Dr Aigbs's Midnight Marathon

Big Congratulations to our very own Dr Aigbs who completed his first trail marathon over the weekend. Not only was it his first trail marathon it was also his first midnight marathon.

He shares his experience of the race. “What a race, It definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone- and I loved everything about it. I think…It certainly ranks up there as one of the toughest races I have ever done”.
-Loads of hills
-Running at night
-Cobbled uneven paths with exposed sharp rocks and stones.
The terrain was brutal, hills and exposed rocks/stones and the total elevation was approx. 3500 feet.

“The humidity was off the scale, I was soaked through in sweat at around 10 pm. I was only about 5 miles in. My goal was to 1. to finish and 2.not fall over / get an injury – I was successful on both accounts”.

Attending The Garden Show At Stanstead

On a sunny weekend from the 11th to 13th June, Just Ears Clinic attended the 26th annual Garden Show at Stanstead. It was a beautiful weekend and with 4,000 visitors through the gates, we were able to speak to many people about their ear wax concerns and book appointments for them. We look forward to returning next year when hopefully more people are able to attend.

Helping the homeless at Christmas

In December, we were really happy to have delivered hampers to both the Winchester Nightshelter and the Salisbury Trust for the Homeless and hope they make a difference.
We have more exciting projects planned with these charities in the New Year so watch this space!

Dr Aigbs - The Running Man!

Our very own Dr Aigbs has an insatiable need to run and raise money for charity. He has completed over 30 running races including marathons both in the UK and abroad. He is raising awareness for MS Society and continues to find new ways to challenge himself!

His most recent run was the London Marathon 2020 on 4th October where he achieved a personal best of 4 hours and 21 minutes – just incredible. We look forward to sharing more of his runs soon.
