£35 Ear Wax Check
Blocked ears but not sure if you have wax? Our £35 wax checks are a great way to find out without paying for full treatment. If you do have wax, you can pay extra on the day and have this removed.
Book online or call 03455 27 27 27 to book your appointment at any of our 16 clinics.
At your appointment our clinician will thoroughly check your ears to see if there is any wax. They will also check your ear canal and ear drum as well as offer ear care advice or any of our ear care products if needed.
If wax is found, you can choose to have it removed whilst you are at your appointment. You will just pay the difference between the prices.
If you pay £35 for wax Check, and you decide to have microsuction on both ears you will then pay £44 which would equal the normal price for both ears (£79). This payment will be taken on the day.
If you pay £35 for the Wax Check, and decided to microsuction in one ear, you will then pay £24 which would equal the normal price for one ear (£59). This payment will be taken on the day.
If wax is found and you decide not to have treatment on the day, but would like to book for another day, you will be required to pay the full price as it is a new appointment.
Please note we only accept card payments at the clinic.
If no wax is found, but you are still struggling to hear, we can discuss with you other potential causes of the hearing loss as well as suggestions for treatment.

Microsuction is more effective than common alternative treatments such as ear syringing, which uses a jet of water to try and dislodge wax build ups, or using a probe and a headlight. As well as removing more wax, microsuction is safer because the procedure is performed under direct vision using both eyes with a microscope which means that there is good depth perception and a clear view of the tip of the suction probe at all times.
As with any procedure, there are some very uncommon risks. These risks include:
With microsuction these risks are very small because the practitioner can see clearly through the microscope what they are doing at all times.
Whenever anything is done to the ear, be it using cotton buds, ear syringing, cleaning with a probe and headlight or Ear Microsuction there are always risks. We feel microsuction is the safest technique to remove ear wax.
We understand that things don’t always go to plan. If you need to cancel you appointment, if 48 hours’ notice is provided, we are happy to refund full clinic fee. Unfortunately if less notice is given a refund is not possible because of the difficulty in filling clinic slots at short notice.
