What To Expect During Your Visit

In order to make your Bespoke Ear Plugs we take impressions of your ears. This is a quick and painless process. The impressions are then sent to our manufacturing company. Following this, you should receive your brand new Ear Plugs in approximately 4 weeks.

1. Booking and Pricing: You book an appointment for either one ear plug (£109) or two ear plugs (£159). It is important to note that microsuction is now included as part of the standard service price.
2. Pre-Appointment Paperwork: Before your scheduled appointment, you must complete the paperwork and consent forms sent to you.
3. Clinical Consultation: At the appointment, the clinician discusses the process, the specific type of plug you require (Sleep or Swim), and your preferred colour options.
4. Ear Protection: A foam stopper is inserted into the ear canal to create a safe gap between the ear plug material and the eardrum.
5. Taking the Impression: The clinician uses a syringe to insert a specialised putty into the ear.
6. Setting Period: You will need to wait 5–10 minutes for the putty to dry. During this time, your hearing will be temporarily blocked, and you may hear a crackling sound as the material sets.
7. Mould Removal: Once the mould is dry, the clinician carefully removes it from your ear.
8. Manufacturing: The physical molds are posted to the manufacturer to create the bespoke plugs.
9. Quality Control: The completed ear plugs are sent from the manufacturer to the Just Ears head office, where they undergo a quality check.
10. Final Delivery: Once approved, the plugs are sent directly to you via recorded delivery (signed for).
