I have no qualms about recommending Just Ears at Port Solent. Cheaper solutions don’t always work and this is why…

I had (about 4 weeks previously) paid £55 for a two-ear micro-suction at a local pharmacy. The nurse said they had cleared my left ear and removed some wax from my right ear but was unable to remove it all as it was too close to the ear drum. After a few weeks my hearing remained muffled. I realised I needed to get a second opinion on both ears and decided to give Just Ears a try after my son had previously used them.

Wow! My experience was a whole different level of professional set-up and I will not look back from hereon. Just Ears was worth every penny of the extra £14 it cost me. I could book online and Just Ears had a variety of appointments at varying locations so I could choose a site and time to suit me. Booking was simple and pre-treatment advice was clear. I called to confirm some details about my situation as I had had micro-suction just a few weeks beforehand and the call handler game me every confidence they knew what they were talking about.

At the appointment I was seen by Dr Phillips who explained his background, experience and the procedure then listened to my recount of my hearing experience over the last few weeks. Throughout the micro-suction process I was laying on a couch (as opposed to sitting upright on a chair in the pharmacy appointment). This is good because the process can cause some dizziness. Doctor Phillips was talking to me all the time explaining what he was doing and keeping me calm. He used a powerful microscope that enabled him to see deep into my ear canals and he removed a lot of hardened wax from both ears with a variety of tool attachments. He told me I had had an infection in my left ear and, after the micro-suction treatment, treated both ears with an anti-fungal spray that I would apply for a few days afterwards.

Having seen what Doctor Phillips removed from my ears, I am confident that my ears are now clear although a free follow-up check in a couple of weeks if I feel I need it will confirm.

Easy to book, loads of available dates without much wait compared to other clinics. Felt very looked after and got an outstanding service. Would recommend and defo use the services again if ever needed.

Five stars for Marie. What an absolute gem she is. A blasted stubborn clog of wax had made me feel awful for nearly a week but Marie with her expertise and gentle treatment had me feeling so much better. Thank you so much Just Ears Clinic x​

I was greeted warmely at reception and was seen before my allotted appointment time. I was seen by Wendy at the Petts Wood branch who was very friendly and super efficient in dealing with the removal of ear wax. It was wonderful to hear clearly after suffering for many months. I shall be attending there more regularly in the future.

My hearing had gone completely due to wax build up in both ears. NHS solution: olive oil to cause the wax to fall out. Completely ineffective as there was a lot of wax in there. Went to the clinic at Bordon, saw a lady called Victoria, She went through the procedure with me, removed the wax, and 5 minutes later I could hear in both ears again. Aftercare advice given, and I am very pleased with the end result! Excellent job!

I arrived early for my appointment and went straight in to the surgery where the procedure was performed quickly and efficiently by a very friendly and professional nurse.

My daughter was seen by a wonderful Doctor who put her at ease and explained everything he was going to do. The whole procedure was pain free and comfortable. She can hear properly again!! Lots of advice given about how to manage any similar ear problems in the future. Would recommend and return whenever necessary.
